Playtech Unveil New Live Online Blackjack Game
Playtech has just made an exciting new addition to their live Online Blackjack line-up. The software giant, responsible for powering many of the top online casinos in Canada and around the rest of the world, recently announced its scalable Majority Rules Speed Blackjack release.
Designed specifically to promote a community style of gameplay, this online Blackjack title follows the success of Playtech’s group-based Live Slots, which sees all players participating in the same online slots spins, as well as the collective Quantum Blackjack.
Collaborating with GVC
For Majority Rules Speed Blackjack, Playtech teamed up with British firm GVC Holdings PLC, and the casino game will be available exclusively across GVC-owned platforms from the beginning of July 2020. Edo Haitin, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech Live, stated that his company was excited about the new release.
Haitin went on to say that innovation and experience-led gameplay were the core values of Playtech’s strategy, and that the new online Blackjack release delivers on both counts. He also reiterated that the popularity of their Live online Slots had shown how much demand there is for interactive casino games.
Recreating Land-Based Experiences
Ultimately, Playtech’s goal is to recreate the atmosphere and interaction players enjoy when sitting alongside other enthusiasts in a brick-and-mortar venue, while playing online casino games. In his public statement Haitin also commented on the firm’s confidence in creating collaborative play in classic Blackjack.
Majority Rules Speed Blackjack will be very successful, Haitin and the whole of Playtech believe, and the new release will also help in the development of a proper Speed variant of live online Blackjack. The rules are, of course, slightly different from traditional table games.
Two Game Modes
Players will be able to enjoy Majority Rules Speed Blackjack in one of two modes at the top online casinos in Canada. These modes are implemented according to the number of active participants. The first, Majority Rules, allows all players to collectively vote on whether to Hit, Stand, Split or Double.
If there is a 50% or higher vote, the Majority Rules mode will automatically carry out the action. With fewer players, the Best Strategy mode will be implemented. Here, the optimal strategy, according to statistics and probability, will automatically be executed.
No matter which mode is active in the casino game, players will need to agree in advance on whether they will accept the vote or use the best strategy advice. This Ask the Audience-style voting should make gamblers feel actively involved in the online Blackjack action, whatever the ultimate decision is.
